Viscosity, surface tension and additives in ceramic fiber manufacturing

According to the manufacturing process of the fiber, it is known that the melt forming the fiber needs to have a suitable viscosity and surface tension, and the viscosity of the fiber-forming melt is too low or too high to form a suitable fiber, and therefore, it is often added during the fiber manufacturing process. Some other materials, such as B2O3, ZrO2, P2O5, Na2O, etc., regulate the viscosity of the melt to obtain a suitable fiber-forming melt.

The ceramic fiber cotton itself does not have adhesiveness, and is made of a binder as a carrier, so that ceramic fiber blankets are made of ceramic fiber blankets, boards, paper and other fiber products. Therefore, the binder plays an important role.
